This Western Tractor facility was designed as a flagship agricultural dealership, with a heavy machinery parts store and service shop. The combined floor area is 45,208 SF, which includes mezzanine storage, shop, office, and retail space.
The building was constructed out of pre-engineered rigid frame steel ribs with purlins to carry pre-engineered insulated metal panels throughout shop areas and conventional steel frame with steel stud infill around the office and retail areas. The retail area features a curtain-wall corner element that allows for ample daylighting for the showroom and solar gain from southern exposure. The shop area features radiant in-floor heating to more efficiently heat the space and help resist heat loss from opened overhead service bay doors. The entire building utilizes efficient LED lighting and daylighting where possible to minimize energy loads.
